I think I needed to hear a lot of things that were said over the weekend, but one message struck me more than any other--and that was Dieter F. Uchtdorf's talk on gratitude.
I'm someone who generally is only grateful when things are going my way. I often forget, in times of trouble, to be grateful to my Father in Heaven. Even more than that, I have a hard time when I think of things coming to an end. President Uchtdorf's words uplifted and encouraged me this weekend.
And I'm grateful that through God, there doesn't have to be an end. He gives us only beginnings.

I'm grateful to be a member of this church. I'm grateful to have the gospel, which makes me happier than anything else in my life. I'm grateful for my Redeemer and I'm grateful for my Heavenly Father.
